MTK places in 2019 Designer of the Year Awards

MTK Design Group was humbled earlier this year with finding out they were a finalist in this year's Designer of the Year Awards with the Interior Design Society. After receiving the news, Megan Kranz, owner and lead designer of MTK Design Group, was so thrilled to be honored on a national level among so many talented interior design professionals from around the United States. Megan and her husband, John Kranz, also the Operations Director for the company, flew to Palm Springs, California, where the Designer of the Year Awards ceremony took place. The black tie gala completed a full week of classes, keynote speakers, networking events and volunteer opportunities held by the Interior Design Society and ARTS professional group. Among the hundreds of attendees were some HGTV mentions - Carson Kressley was the MC for the week and host for the Designer of the Year Awards, providing loads of entertainment during the celebration. During the awards gala, Megan took home 1st Runner Up in the Living Room category and could not be more excited to share the news. "It of course it such an honor to be recognized on a creative level, especially among so much talent in the industry, but it's also incredibly special to share the honor with the clients who allowed me to be creative in their homes and give us the chance for these amazing opportunities. Megan added, "My clients were so thrilled to hear their room was nationally awarded!"

Her winning project among other winners are featured on the Interior Design Society national website.

John Kranz, Director of Operations for MTK Design Group, enjoyed helping out the local homeless shelter, building and painting new picnic tables, as well as installing new furniture and decor.
