Design Assistant Full Time | Entry Level Hourly Based on Experience Job Duties: Assist on Design Appointments -Properly measure rooms and windows to create to-scale floor plans. -Check availability on products and aid in creating selection presentations. -Properly document all aspects of project. Manage client projects from start to finish. -Place and manage orders. -Coordinate with warehouse manager on incoming products and defective issues. -Schedule & manage installers. -Various research tasks for specialty projects. -Handle customer relations and communications during project as needed. -Implement systems to ensure client satisfaction. -Help on installations. Answer customer lead phone calls and schedule initial consultations. Build and nurture relationships with industry partners. Create and improve systems to improve business efficiency. Job Requirements: We are looking for someone who is/has: -Natural salesperson, good with people. Great phone etiquette. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills is a must. -Flexible with some early evening hours Monday-Friday if design appointments run long. -Ability to stay focused and work diligently with little supervision. -Positive attitude and motivator for the team, even when loaded with tasks. -Reliable transportation. Our office is located in north Grand Prairie, Texas. -Punctual & trustworthy. -Willing to help on installations: some heavy lifting involved. -Passionate about interior design; Eager to learn and grow in this field. Please note this is a not a desk job - most of the time you will be out on appointments with the lead designer and on installations with the team with active job duties. Bonus Experience: -Sales Experience -Interest in / experience with photography and DSLR cameras. -Graphic Design Experience. Preferably Adobe Photoshop. -Video editing experience. Bonus program available upon completion of training + Ability to grow into a decorator position.
